AZ Long Drive Amateur League
AZ Long Drive Amateur League

Your LDI renews annually and follows you wherever you compete. Think of it as a Handicap Index (GHIN) for driving distance—one number that reflects your current driving potential and determines your competitive flight. Unlike the GHIN, however, it updates automatically after every AZLD sanctioned event.
Qualifying drives recorded at AZ Long Drive and sanctioned events are automatically added to your player record. As your performance changes, your LDI can change with it—keeping your competitive flight aligned with your current driving ability.

AZ Long Drive uses performance-based flights so you compete against golfers with comparable driving ability. Your Long Drive Index® determines your competitive flight, and Dynamic Flighting™ allows your placement to change as your driving performance changes.
Rather than using age to group players, AZ Long Drive uses performance-based flights so competitors are always matched against golfers of similar driving ability.
Your Long Drive Index® determines your placement, creating more competitive matchups and giving more players a legitimate chance to win.
Your flight can change as your Long Drive Index® changes. AZ Long Drive uses Dynamic Flighting™ during competitions to ensure players always compete against players of similar drivinability. If your LDI changes significantly during competition, you and all your scores are moved in real-time into the appropriate flight.

Think of it as a golf handicap for driving distance! Your LDI measures your demonstrated driving potential and determines which flight you compete in, so you're matched against golfers of similar ability.
It's easy! Your qualifying drives are recorded during AZ Long Drive competitions. Once you have five valid in-grid drives, you can establish your official LDI.
With fewer than five qualifying drives, your LDI is provisional. You can still compete, but you'll need an official LDI to qualify for prizes or advance to championship competition. Your provisional LDI automatically becomes official once you have recorded five in-grid drives.
Absolutely! Our Dynamic Flighting™ system automatically adjusts your flight as your LDI changes, even during an event. This keeps you competing against golfers of similar driving ability.
Your LDI automatically updates as you compete, reflecting your latest driving performance and ensuring you're always competing against golfers of similar ability. Although your LDI may change throughout the year, you only need to renew it once annually.
Your LDI automatically updates every time you compete, based on your latest driving performance. There's nothing you need to do! Your LDI is valid at all AZ Long Drive competitions, regardless of venue or location, so you'll always compete against golfers of similar ability.
