The Arizona Long Drive League is a golf league built around the most exciting club in the bag — the driver. It’s a competitive, high-energy league designed for golfers who love power, distance, competition, and the adrenaline of live sports.

Open to the public and members, the league features  regular-season events where players of all skill levels can compete in a fair and exciting format. 

What makes the league unique is its proprietary Long Drive Index, a performance-based system that places players into competitive flights, creating balanced match-ups and giving everyone a chance to compete and win.

But this is more than just individual competition.

The Arizona Long Drive League is building teams and expanding globally, creating hometown rivalries and season-long storylines that bring the intensity of major sports to golf. Teams from different cities and regions will battle throughout the season to earn their place in the playoffs and ultimately compete in the season-ending championship.

Long drive competitions have long been dominated by the biggest, strongest, and most powerful golfers. Not any more. Introducing Long Drive 3Ball™, where your score is the combined total yardage of your best three drives out of five. And, here’s the reality: only 20% of long drive golfers can hit three out of five balls in the grid, which means Long Drive 3Ball™ is open to virtually anyone.

LongBall is all about pure power and precision. Competitors step up to the tee and unleash their longest drives, battling head-to-head against other golfers of similar age for distance supremacy.

1. The Setup – Players hit from one of the bays at Dobson Ranch's driving range into a virtual 50' x 450' grid (fairway).
2. Time & Attempts – Each competitor gets two minutes to hit five balls per round: $25 per round for members, $30 for guests.
3. Fairway Counts – Only balls that stay inside the marked grid qualify for scoring.
4. Longest Drive Wins – The competitor with the longest drive in their flight is declared the flight winner.

• Explosive Drives: The longest hitters pushing their limits.
• Intense Head-to-Head Battles: Only compete against other hitters in the same age category.

At each event, your final Long Drive 3Ball™ total yardage is multiplied by 300 and divided by your Long Drive Index (LDI). This formula creates a level playing field, allowing both long and short hitters to compete on equal terms and earn comparable points.

But that’s not the only way to score. You can boost your balance even faster with bonus points:

• Refer a friend – For every new AZLD member who joins using your Referral Code, both you and they will earn 100 bonus points.
• Follow AZLD on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok – Earn 50 bonus points each just for following us on social media.

Why this Formula?

Frequent Driver Points = (Long Drive 3Ball™ × 300) ÷ LDI

Without adjusting for LDI, longer hitters would always dominate the leaderboard. By scaling scores through this formula, we ensure fair competition across all ability levels — so everyone has a real shot at earning great rewards.

Examples:

• A long hitter with an LDI of 350 and a Long Drive 3Ball™ score of 1,050 yards earns:
  1,050 × (300 ÷ 350) = 900 points
• A mid-range hitter with an LDI of 300 and a Long Drive 3Ball™ score of 900 yards earns:
  900 × (300 ÷ 300) = 900 points
• A female hitter with an LDI of 250 and a Long Drive 3Ball™ score of 750 yards earns:
  750 × (300 ÷ 250) = 900 points

As you can see, the system ensures that every player—regardless of distance—has the same opportunity to compete for prizes. The more events you play, the more points you earn, bringing you closer to exclusive rewards all season long!
